L'uomo che cammina

E qui, nella sala d'aspetto, termina il vostro viaggio virtuale, corrispettivo della mia passeggiata reale all'interno dell'ospedale.
C'è poco da dire, la cosa che mi è stata scoperta (una malattia autoimmune) è in fase remissiva da anni, e non da più problemi... se si escludono i 20kg regalatimi dal cortisone.
Potrei sicuramente trovare un aspetto positivo in chiusura di tutta questa storia, ma dato che mi hanno tolto un dente del giudizio particolarmente ostico, non sono tanto dell'umore.
Rimando all'appuntamento di Venerdì, che essendo San Valentino ospiterà un disegno, nel quale Scaramouche spiega a Teru Teru Bozu com'è fatto cupido...

Domanda: Perchè questo post rischiava di essere senza domanda e risposta?

Risposta: Perchè mi viene difficile farmi domande su qualcosa che già conosco bene, perciò se non ho idee o domande da chi segue il Blog l'angolo D&R Salta. Quindi Chiedete!!!

The Walking Man

And here, in the waiting room, ending your virtual journey,  corresponding of my real walk into the hospital. 

There is little to say, the thing that has been discovered (an autoimmune disease) is being submissive for years, and not more problems comed out... if we exclude the 20kg given to me by cortisone. 

I could definitely find a positive aspect in the closing of this whole story, but since I have removed a tooth particularly difficult, not so much the mood.

L'ho già scritto che attendo le vostre domande per l'angolo Domande/Risposte del Blog?
Nell'immagine di oggi potete vedere uno dei corridoio dell'ospedale, in questa zona c'è il Day hospital, anche qui mi sono fermato diligentemente a prendere nota degli interni.
Per i più curiosi, la mia stanza era raggiungibile andando in fondo a questo corridoio (dove vedete fare capolino la guardiola degli infermieri) e girando a sinistra.. se ricordo bene seconda porta a destra.

Domanda: Quali canzoni andrebbero ascoltate guardando le pagine?

Risposta: In realtà ci sono diverse canzoni che ho trovato adatte, una è sicuramente questa:

For the curious, my room was going to reach the end of this hallway (where you see peep the gatehouse of nurses) and turning left .. if I remember correctly the second door on the right.

Punti di vista

Questo è più comodamente ciò che vedevo dal mio letto... Elementi che possono essere utili e non intuitivi, come invece un tavolo, un armadietto ed una sedia, per raccontare una storia ambientata in un ospedale.
Sabato e domenica scorsi sono stato a Milano, ad una mostra modellistica, dove ho raccolto alcuni schizzi di palazzi distrutti ed altri elementi interessanti di diorami storici.
L'importante è avere raccolto questi elementi, queste memorie, per poterle usare qualora servisse, sopratutto perché alcune immagini mi sembrano riuscire a trasmettere un'atmosfera... e potrebbe esserci spazio per questo nella storia. 

Domanda: Cosa è precisamente lo steampunk? (Domanda posta da Jasmine)

Risposta: Lo steampunk è un genere artistico letterario che ha avuto importanti genitori tra cui Jules Verne. L'idea che riassume lo spirito dello steamponk è "come sarebbe stato il futuro se fosse successo prima". Si basa quindi su idee ucroniche diverse a seconda dell'ambientazione: dalla di Waterloo di Napoleone, a quella della Germania nazista.
Per estensione, si usa oggi il termine steampunk anche per le ambientazioni post apocalittiche, un po' come nel caso del mio fumetto.
I ho preferito invece il termine Rustpunk, perché mi sembrava più corretto in quanto lo spirito dell'ambientazione è "come sarebbe stata la fine se fosse arrivata prima".
L'epoca infatti si vedrà nelle pagine essere nel presente con alcuni elementi del vicino passato.

Points of view

This is more comfortably what I saw from my bed ... Items that can be useful and unintuitive, than a table, a cabinet and a chair, to tell a story set in a hospital.
Last saturday and sunday I was in Milan for a modeling show, where I picked up some sketches of destroyed buildings and other interesting items from historical dioramas.
The important thing is to have collected these items, these memories for future use if it was useful, especially because some images seem to me to be able to convey a feeling... and there may be some space for it in the story.

Domanda: What exactly is steampunk? (Question by Jasmine)

Risposta: Steampunk is an artistic genre of literature that had important parents including Jules Verne. The idea that sums up the spirit of steamponk is "how would be like if the future had happened sooner." Is therefore based on different ucronic ideas depending on setting: from the victory in Waterloo by Napoleon, to the Nazi Germany that wins the IIWW. 
By extension, the term stampunk is used today for the post-apocalyptic settings, a little as in the case of my comic. 
I have preferred instead the term Rustpunk, because it seemed more appropriate because the spirit of the setting is "how would be the end if it came first." 
The ages it will be seen in the pages being in the present with some elements of the near past.

Cogliere le opportunità

Teru Teru Bozu che plana col suo ombrello davanti ad un mulino a vento è una chiara citazione tanto a Mary Poppins, che a Don Chisciotte. Due personaggi che attraverso la loro immaginazione si sono liberati da una visione restrittiva del mondo, potendosi ritagliare momenti di gioia ed avventura. Teru Teru Bozu è come loro, un puro spirito creativo che ha una percezione distorta del mondo in cui vive.
L'immagine qui sopra, a modo suo, parla della stessa cosa. Nel 2001 sono stato ricoverato per un tempo (per me) parecchio lungo. Essendo per me irresistibile il richiamo per il disegno, ma essendo privo di ispirazione, mi sono seduto in un angolo ed ho disegnato la mia camera d'ospedale.
Sarebbe bello dire che questo mi ha aiutato a guarire, ma non è vero, la realtà è che questo mi ha aiutato a capire che non posso fare a meno di disegnare.

Domanda: Hai già sviluppato il mondo che la circonda (Teru Teru Bozu) o vai a ispirazione volta per volta? (Domanda posta da Darc)

Risposta: Il caro buon Darcadia conquista sia il primo commento che la prima (graditissima) "risposta al lettore". Le prime immagini, così come i personaggi sono nati non dalla pianificazione, ma dal puro, caro, sano estro creativo. Il mondo è stato sviluppato in un secondo tempo in modo da poter narrare una storia più ampia, con diverse chiavi di lettura. Stabilite queste linee guida, sono tornato all'ispirazione pura, cercando di fare si che i luoghi in cui avviene la storia non siano un generico monolocale, un tetto di un palazzo qualsiasi, etc... ma luoghi ben definiti e il più iconici possibili.

Seizing the opportunity

Teru Teru Bozu that glides with his umbrella in front of a windmill is a clear reference to both Mary Poppins, in which Don Quixote. Two characters who through their imagination are freed from a restrictive view of the world, being able to cut out moments of joy and adventure. Teru Teru Bozu is like them, a pure creative spirit that has a distorted perception of the world in which she lives. 
The image above, in its way, talking about the same thing. In 2001 I was hospitalized for a time (for me) quite long. As to me irresistible lure for the design, but being devoid of inspiration, I sat in a corner, and I drew my hospital room. 
It would be nice to say that this has helped me to heal, but it is not true, the reality is that this has helped me to understand that I can not stop to draw.

Domanda: You've already developed the world around her (Teru Teru Bozu) or go to inspiration from time to time? (Question by Darc) 

Risposta: Dear good Darcadia conquest is the first comment that the first (very welcome) "response to the reader." The first images, as well as the characters were born not by planning, but by pure, expensive, healthy creativity. The world has been developed at a later time in order to tell a larger story, with different interpretations. Established these guidelines, I came back to pure inspiration, trying to make sure that the places where the story takes place is not a generic studio, a roof of a building whichever, etc ... but places the most iconic and well-defined as possible.

Capire un tubo

Amo disegnare le tubature, con i loro adattatori, i loro snodi, deviazioni, intersezioni ed altro sono molto simili a degli alberi, tutti simili, ma nessuno uguale. 

Questa immagine è stata fatta copiando dal vero alcune tubature in giro per la mia città, confidando con il tempo innanzitutto di comprenderle e poi di poterle usare per rendere più vivi gli ambienti che disegno.
Trattandosi di schizzi la colorazione è una tecnica mista casuale tra acquarelli, pastelli, copic e pc qua e là...

Domanda: Quando hai cominciato a disegnare questi soggetti?
Risposta: Come potete notare dalle date, vicine alle firme, sono già diversi anni che lavoro su questi soggetti. Ho avuto un periodo di forte infatuazione per lo stempunk (intorno al 2007) al quale devo, per esempio, gli studi come quelli che vedete qui sopra, solo dalla seconda decade dell'anno 2000 ho però cominciato ad elaborare un'idea di fumetto su questo tema. 

Quello che qui potrebbe apparire come una ricerca coerente e contestualizzata, è in realtà una raccolta di studi e disegni nati in tempi diversi per esigenze diverse o, in certi casi, solo per svago.
Solo negli anni hanno preso una forma definita.

Understanding a pipe

I love to draw pipes , with their adapters , their joints , detours, and other intersections are very similar to the trees, really alike, but not the same .
This image was made by copying some real pipes around my city , hoping by the time, first to understand and then use them to make more living environments that design .

Being only sketches the coloring tecnique is random between a mixed watercolors , pastels, copic and pc here and there ...

Domanda: When did you start drawing these subjects ?
Risposta: .As you can see from the dates , close to signature, are already several years that work on these subjects. I had a period of strong infatuation for stempunk ( around 2007 ), to which I drew , for example , studies like the ones you see above, but only in the second decade of 2000 , however, I began to develop an idea of ​​comics on this issue.

What may appear here as a coherent research and contextualized , is actually a collection of studies and designs were born at different times for different needs or , in some cases , just for fun .
Only over the years have taken a definite shape .

Questa è la prima illustrazione che ho mai fatto di Teru Teru Bozu, si, insomma... la tipa bianca con l'ombrello. E' stato anche il mio primo tentativo di inchiostrazione a pennino, tecnica che ritengo perfetta per questa ambientazione.

Domanda: In che epoca sono localizzati gli eventi rappresentati nei disegni?

Risposta: Indicativamente potrei dire che l'ambientazione è il presente, anche se ci sono alcuni elementi ucronici, legati al per lo più al passato. Inoltre non è neppure precisato un luogo geografico, potremmo dire semplicisticamente che il tutto si svolge in "una grande città" (o quel che ne resta).

Windmills

This is the first illustration  I've ever done with Teru Teru Bozu, yes, well... the white girl with umbrella. It was also my first attempt at inking pen, a technique that I think is perfect for this setting.

Question: In what age are localized events depicted in the drawings? 

Answer: As an indication I would say that the setting is the present, although there are some ucronic elements ucronicii, related mostly to the past. Moreover, it is not even clear a geographical place, we could simplistically say that everything takes place in a "big city" (or what remains of it).
